I studied abroad in London, England during the Fall of my Sophomore Year. It was an incredible experience that impacted my academic career an outlook on my education profoundly.
I gained a lot of confidence and perspective, but I would say the most important thing I got out of studying in London was clarity on what I wanted to major in.
Up until this point, I hadn’t been sure what I wanted to study. I had just been fulfilling my core requirements, unsure what I wanted to do with my future, when I took a course on Romantic and Victorian Literature at the London Metropolitan University which pushed me towards becoming an English major. I had realized how much I enjoyed doing close readings and analyses of both poetry and literature.
The courses I took at London Metropolitan University expanded my knowledge and outlook tremendously.
The courses I took abroad include:
- Peace, Conflict, and Diplomacy since 1945
- Romantic to Victorian Literature
- Publishing and the Book
- French A2
