Below is my volunteering experience:
English Teaching Assistant
During my studies in Lyon, France, I was given the opportunity to volunteer as a TA for French students learning English. My responsibilities in this role included:
- Creating presentations about American Culture
- Leading classroom discussions and/or lesson plans
- Connecting with the students
English Reader
During my studies in Lyon, France, I was also able to volunteer as an English reader to young children in schools. I read children’s books alongside a French reader who would read the same story before or after me so that the students could begin to understand English words and phrases.
